There has been a lot of discussion around the Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltending situation this season. Whether it is Ilya Samsonov's poor performances, Martin Jones' successes, or Joseph Woll's injuries, there hasn't been a shortage of things to talk about regarding who is between the pipes for the Leafs.
Now, it looks like there is more to add to the goalie discussion in Leaf Land. According to Nick Kypreos, Leafs goalie Matt Murray is gearing up to return this season, sometime after the trade deadline.
Having options in net is great for the Leafs, as they have been short in the past, calling up Dennis Hiledby just to have him watch in case of emergency. Whether or not the Leafs need to sign Murray again is another thing. They don't have much cap space to play with, and Murray is ageing quickly.
