A recent Finnish top-five pick is in danger of having his NHL career come to an end after a brutal injury.

Puljujarvi In Danger Of Losing Career

Recently, Jesse Puljujarvi had an interview with Ilta Sanomat, a Finnish news source, and he discussed his recovery process from a double hip replacement and his NHL future.

As of now, his NHL future is more than uncertain:

So far, nothing has been heard from the NHL, when everyone knows that it will take many more months to get fit. I know that there is some interest in the NHL, but let's wait until I get closer to playing condition, Puljujärvi says.

For most players, not hearing anything from the NHL at this stage of the season is more than worrying. However, Puljujarvi seems to believe that teams are just waiting for him to get healthy.

Puljujarvi's Gruesome Injury Recorvery

Puljujarvi offered some insight into his recovery process from his double hip replacement.

"The most difficult phase of all was 2.5 weeks after the operation. In the beginning it was just being able to walk. Now let's slowly start to wake up the muscles. There are 20-centimeter incisions on both sides of the buttocks. Now they are constantly trying to gain strength and mobility. It gets better every week" - Jesse Puljujarvi

This is encouraging to hear and offers some insight into what Puljujarvi was dealing with last season. He looked like a shell of himself with the Oilers and seemed very awkward and hunched over near the end of his season. If this recovery can be successful, we could watch Puljujarvi revitalize his career with whichever team that decides to take a chance on him.

As seen on Ilta Sanomat - Puljujärvi disappeared from the picture - now reveals harsh details about his summer
