Kane's Rehab has been Going Well and Looks To Sign at the end of October
The Sabres currently have some cap room to make a deal like this happen, with $8.77 million in space. This is more than enough to get Kane and accommodate his contract requirements. The Sabres could be looking at getting him for 2 years, helping them gear up for a return to the Playoffs.
Patrick Kane continues to rehab from his hip surgery. He's been doing so in the Toronto area since July and requires at least another month. We know Buffalo has interest. He could help a lot of teams when healthy.
Kane's potential return to his hometown would follow similar trends of other NHL players making their return home, like John Tavares and Max Domi of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As seen on Hawks Insider - "Patrick Kane is reportedly heading home."
