REPORT: Bruins Eyeing Superstar Forward to Bolster Their Roster
The Boston Bruins reportedly have their sights set on a superstar St. Louis Blues forward to improve their offense after the departure of many key pieces.
Yesterday on HockeyBuzz.com, insider Eklund revealed some major news regarding what the Bruins are doing this offseason.
Pavel is signed in STL for one more year, after the current one with the Blues, and they have been trying to extend himhowever, where will he land on the scales? The Bruins are being very aggressive on this I am told.
What Buchnevich Would Bring To Boston
Since being traded to the Blues two years ago, Buchnevich has become an underrated superstar. He has scored over a point-per-game pace over his entire tenure with the Blues and scored a fair amount as well.
Last year alone, he scored 26 goals and 67 points in 63 games. This is a 34-goal and 87-point pace. When Buchnevich is healthy, a lot of the Blues' offense runs through him.
While he would cost a great deal to acquire, he would be a great complimentary winger and has spent time at center in the past and if needed, could slot in between
David Pastrnak and Brad Machard as a Patrice Bergeron replacement.
