There have been tons of rumors surrounding the future of the Boston Bruins goalie tandem as both are considered starting caliber.

Bruins Goalies Keep The Team Afloat

This season the Boston Bruins have yet to take the step back that many expected. After several retirements and losses in free agency, many thought the Bruins would fall out of contention. Through 15 games they remain first in the Atlantic Division.

Despite their success teams in need of a goalie will continue to try and pry one of Linus Ullmark or Jeremy Swayman away from Boston.

Linus Ullmark has started 8 games this season and has a 2.23 goals against average and a 0.928 save percentage. Swayman on the other hand has played 7 games and has a 1.69 goals-against average and a 0.944 save percentage.

With the team doing well, we have an update for their plans in net going forward.

Bruins Unveil Their Future Plans In The Net

After the strong start from the team Bruins general manager Don Sweeney is reportedly reluctant to part with either of his goalies.

Teams in dire need of a goaltending upgrade (hello there, Edmonton Oilers!) have been mentioned as possible trade partners if the Bruins were willing to part with Ullmark or Swayman. However, Bruins GM Don Sweeney is unlikely to move either guy.

The Edmonton Oilers or any other team hoping to gain the services of a Bruins goalie would need to come through with a massive offer. Even then the Bruins likely won't move on until the offseason so they don't mess up team chemistry.
