"The Suffolk district attorney's office confirmed on Sunday that Lucic will be charged with a single count of assault and battery on a family or household member, classified as a misdemeanor."

Over the weekend, it was made public that Lucic's wife had called 9-1-1 early Saturday morning to report that her husband had allegedly attacked and choked her. A police report said Lucic appeared intoxicated when officers arrived at the scene. Lucic has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the Bruins, and his career is likely in jeopardy if the allegations are proven true in court.
