The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers are meeting for the first time since their playoff series a season ago, and it's safe to say there's still plenty of animosity between these two teams.
McAvoy Lays Dirty Hit
During their Monday night encounter, Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy looked to impose himself physically on this matchup, but unfortunately, it was way too much.

This hit on Oliver Ekkman-Larson was directly to the head and incredibly uneccessary, resulting in an ejection for the star defenseman, with a possible suspension incoming.
While this may have been the norm many years ago, this type of contact to the head just isn't tolerated now, and with the many ways to be physical without attacking the head, this was a silly play, and likely deserves a major suspension.
Was this hit worthy of a suspension?
