The Boston Bruins have been a consistent franchise for years, and they've done so under the leadership of Patrice Bergeron, but now, they've found his replacement.

A veteran star

According to NHL Insider Chris Johnston, the Bruins will now officially announce that Brad Marchand is the next captain of the Original Six franchise.

The move comes after the winger has led the way for this team over the past few years, putting together some incredible performances, despite being a divisive figure among hockey fans.

A consistent performer

The Bruins new captain has been incredibly consistent over the past 14 years, tallying 862 points in 947 games played, and with Boston still having a deep, talented team, he will be tasked with following up another fantastic regular season.
