Wayne Gretzky Stuns Everybody With Subtle Comment On Adam Johnson's Death

The hockey world has been in mourning since the tragic passing of Adam Johnson, with many teams and players taking steps to potentially prevent this type of thing in the future, but not everyone is convinced it was an accident.

Unsurprisingly, the incident became a topic of conversation on TNT recently, and unfortunately, the suggestions on social media that this wasn't an accident made it to national TV.


When asked about the incident, one of the NHL's best ever players Wayne Gretzky had this to say, calling Johnson's passing a 'so-called accident'.

Dangerous, or keeping it impartial?

This could just be Gretzky and TNT looking to keep the conversation impartial, but if this is his take, given what the other players on the ice are likely going through right now, it's a very dangerous thing to suggest to such a wide audience.

Ultimately, he's likely going to have to clarify his comments if the reaction on social media is anything to go by, but given what everyone is dealing with, we hope that Gretzky isn't suggesting what we all think he is.
