After a long arduous process, the Ottawa Senators have finally been sold.

Montreal Canadiens minority owner and former Hamilton Bulldogs owner Michael Andlauer will be crowned as the new owner.

This is the end of a moths long process that had multiple bidders walk away from frustration.

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds chose not to submit a bid, despite being hyped as a frontrunner, citing a lack of exclusive windows.

Toronto Billionaire Steve Apostolopoulos also withdrew his bid after the long drawn out process left him and his group "frustrated."

Jeffrey and Michael Kimel also made the finals stages having previously been minority owners of the Pittsburgh Penguins

The Senators have been in operated by Anna and Olivia Melnyk, daughters of late owner Eugene Melnyk who died in March of 2022.

Eugene Melnyk bought the team out of bankruptcy in 2003, and owned the team until his death.
