With only five days to go before the draft, teams have already started to make moves even though the Stanley Cup Finals are still going on.
A few days ago, the San Jose Sharks made an interesting addition by claiming Barclay Goodrow from the New York Rangers on the NHL waiver wire.
In breaking news, the San Jose Sharks announced another transaction.
The organization acquired forward Egor Afanasyev from the Nashville Predators in return for Ozzy Wiesblatt.
Here are all the details:
Afanasyev, 23, was drafted 45th overall by the Predators in 2019. Last season, he scored 54 points in 56 games in the AHL and played two games in the NHL without registering a point.
As for Wiesblatt, he was drafted 31st overall by the Sharks in 2020. He has never played in the NHL but spent the last three seasons in the AHL and reached the Conference Finals this year with the Milwaukee Admirals.
More to come.
