The Ottawa Senators are having a historically eventful offseason, from change in ownership, to star player Alex DeBrincat being traded to Detroit after refusing to sign long-term with the franchise.
One player who should be top of mind for Sens executives is Travis Konecny. Konecny has been the subject of several trade rumours over the past few weeks and has the potential to fill the gap left by the DeBrincat trade.
Konecny recorded 31 goals and 30 assists in 60 games last season.
Aside from having the space to absorb Konecny's contract, the Senators are a seemingly nice home for the Ontario native, with the potential to be reunited with former Flyer teammate Claude Giroux, in the city where Konecny played in the OHL.
