A new report from an NHL insider has indicated that future Hall Of Fame goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury could be on the move in the coming weeks. The insider also suggests that one team could make a big push for Fleury.

Canadian Team Making A Push For Fleury

This afternoon a new piece of information from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Minnesota Wild are open to trading Marc-Andre Fleury. If the Wild do end up parting ways with Fleury, Friedman says that the Edmonton Oilers are a team to watch out for.

Elliotte Friedman believes the Edmonton Oilers have serious interest in G Marc-Andre Fleury.

With this news, the rumors surrounding Fleury will surely heat up over the next several weeks heading into the trade deadline.

Oilers Going All-In For Fleury?

Much of this season for the Edmonton Oilers has been focused on keeping the puck out of their own net. Whether it is struggles in the net or with team defense upgrades are needed all around.

The Oilers' best goaltender this season Stuart Skinner has carried his weight throughout the season. Beyond Skinner, the Oilers have not been able to find a reliable partner for him. The addition of Fleury could be the exact type of player they need.

If the Oilers are going to go after Fleury they will likely need to give up multiple key assets for the legendary goalie. The Oilers could choose to address multiple positions instead of making just one big splash.
