REPORT: New Jersey Devils Working On Reuniting The Hughes Brothers
Since they have all been drafted NHL fans have been hoping that the Hughes brothers would have an opportunity to all play together. For Luke and Jack, this has already become a reality. Now there's a report that they could be going after the third brother to make this a reality.
New Jersey Interested In Quinn
According to a source named Eklund from Hockeybuzz.com the Devils and Canucks have been in talks regarding a trade centered around Quinn. Eklund also mentions that he expects Vancouver to be one of the more active teams in the back half of the offseason and are the only ones to inquire about Quinn Hughes so far.
The Hughes Brothers Unite
While currently these are all rumors it is fun to imagine a world where all three brothers share a locker room and a team. Quinn and his 76 points in 78 games would add a legit number-one offensive defenseman to the roster. He would also be a good mentor to his brother Luke and other young defensemen on the roster such as Simon Nemec.
The price to acquire Quinn still may be too steep as he is one of the best young defensemen in the NHL right now. With New Jersey already having several young defensemen with prestige and potential coming up I'm not sure they bite and give up several assets for Quinn but wow would it be fun if they did?
