The Vegas Golden Knights have had a competitive team since inception and they have stopped trying to win. This season they've been relatively quiet up until recently when they moved Zach Dean.
Barbashev Wants To Make Immediate Impact In Vegas
What they got in return was a seasoned veteran in Ivan Barbarshev, who has a post-season pedigree.
Barbashev on joining the Golden Knights: Coming here to Vegas where the team is winning... It's really important to me that I can bring even more to the table.
Barbarshev was a part of the Stanley Cup-winning 2019 St. Louis Blues squad, whose been struggling recently.
With Doug Armstrong blowing it up moving Ryan O'Reilly, and Vladimir Tarasenko, Barbshev mentioned feeling it was a matter of time before he was dealt. But with a fresh start in Vegas, the young center hopes to make an immediate impact on the ice.
Barbshev's landing in Vegas will push the needle further, with Bruce Cassidy's tutelage and his two-way skill will no doubt make a perfect pairing.
In 59 games so far this season, he's put up 10 points and 19 assists for 29 points and will look to rebound in a fresh start.
