But that victory wasn't without controversy.


Wes McCauley blew the whistle for no reason, just as the Panthers were close to score the equalizing goal to force overtime for the second game in a row.

A Deeper Problem

Both analysts and fans don't understand the call, but now, there's more and more evidence that there's a problem in the NHL.

It seems that something like this happens every game.

Yesterday's game proved that the officiating model in the NHL needs to change. There's simply been to many mistakes. Frankly, it's quite embarassing that Gary Bettman doesn't do anything about it.
