BREAKING: Top Insider Confirms Massive Expansion News
The NHL has been rapidly expanding over the last 5 years. The introduction of the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken has led to more cities desiring an NHL team.
Insider Confirms Massive Expansion News
Today on Insider Trading one of the biggest topics was NHL expansion. After the post on X by Kevin Weekes about cities that want an NHL team a few days ago expansion talk has sparked again. Today NHL insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed much of what Weekes had previously said.
«It's a matter of when not if Atlanta, Houston, Salt Lake, Quebec City. Utah Jazz owner is «super interested» in an NHL team»- Pierre LeBrun
Pierre LeBrun confirms that the NHL is actively open to expanding more. Several cities have been linked to a new NHL franchise. This includes the Atlanta market which as Kevin Weekes recently reported have gotten state approval for a new arena.

Expansion
I'm told South Forsyth (Atlanta) got through state approvals for their development project and seems to be the leader of the pack at this time of cities without an arena yet. #HockeyTwitter
Remember that an arena still needs to be built expansion is still a few years away. It seems as though expansion won't have to wait as long as it did between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild in 2000 to the Vegas Golden Knights in 2016.
