We Now Know the Asking Price for a Former Leafs Fifth Overall Pick
Going back nearly fifteen years, the Toronto Maple Leafs went up to the stage to draft Luke Schenn fifth overall.
All this time later, Schenn, who won a cup in Tampa Bay, and is now a member of the Vancouver Canucks, is bound to be traded soon.
It was released today that the asking price for Schenn would be at least a third round pick.
It appears that Calgary and Boston are in the running for Schenn, who brings playoff pedigree and veteran poise.
We will see where he ends up, but for an expiring UFA, the Vancouver Canucks will come out as winners no matter what.
