Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson finalists for Canucks captaincy
It's only been a few hours since the Vancouver Canucks traded their captain, Bo Horvat, to the New York Islanders.
Nonetheless, GM Patrik Allvin wasted no time in naming the new captain.
In his post-trade conference, he said the new captain would be either Elias Pettersson or Quinn Hughes.
They are both around the age Horvat was when he was named captain, and hopefully the C will convince them to stay in Vancouver long-term.
We will see which way management leans, but it is safe to say we'll be seeing a new captain sooner rather than later!
