Matthew Tkachuk Takes Subtle Jab at Maple Leafs Following Stanley Cup Victory

Matthew Tkachuk ended up taking yet another jab at the Maple Leafs after winning the Stanley Cup, even though the Leafs took them to the limit.
Dispatching of the Edmonton Oilers in six games, the Florida Panthers ended up securing their second straight Stanley Cup. Backed by an impressive four-goal game from Sam Reinhart, it seems the Panthers are slowly morphing into a dynasty.
Matthew Tkachuk disrespects Maple Leafs yet again
A huge contributor as well this postseason was Matthew Tkachuk, who afterwards took the time to still take a jab at the Maple Leafs even though he eliminated them weeks ago:
I think the toughest matchup for us was Tampa Bay, they gave us the hardest run this year.
It's a bit egregious for Bennett to say the Lightning gave them the toughest matchup, considering the Panthers dispatched of them in only five games, compared to Toronto's seven.
Florida dominated the Hurricanes in five games as well, but found themselves down 2-0 to Toronto and nearly were down 3-0 had it not been for Brad Marchand.
The Panthers gave up 15 goals against Toronto compared to 10 against Carolina and 12 against Tampa. This is also a Leafs team that didn't have Anthony Stolarz for the entirety of the series and still managed to make it tough.
Matthew Tkachuk can't seem to stop thinking about the Maple Leafs
It's not the first instance that Tkachuk took time to make a comment towards the Maple Leafs after eliminating them, and it feels like he has to constantly prove that he is better than them.
His accomplishments speak for themselves, and whether he harbors some resentment towards former GM Brad Treliving or not is undermined, he certainly seems a bit obsessed with calling them out at every turn.
Is Tkachuk worried about the Maple Leafs? Likely not, however it is a bit interesting that he continues to disrespect them and ignore them even though what they accomplished this year was still an incredible achievement.
There's always a place for rivalries and tension between teams and players, it's just the nature of the business.
But Tkachuk needs to start giving the Maple Leafs a bit more credit, or it might come back to burn him.
