Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith shockingly shares heartbreaking announcement during eulogy

It has been an emotional storm for the last 10 days for everybody connected with the NHL, whether it be players, executives, or fans. What started off as grief only grew deeper, especially after the latest heart-wrenching revelation from Meredith Gaudreau, Johnny Gaudreau's widow, at his celebration of life today.

It was one of those bittersweet announcements: They had been expecting their third child just weeks before the tragedy occurred, turning what should have been one of the best times of the year into a horrific one. And now it became public during a vigil that coincided with the third anniversary of their wedding.

Everyone present was definitely touched by the severity of that moment. The courage Meredith mustered while speaking, to honor Johnny and her growing family, reached the hearts of every listener.

The incomprehensible, sudden death of 31-year-old Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew is beyond comprehension. Of course, it gets even deeper when the wife of Matthew is close to giving birth to their firstborn.

While the different phases of these losses are still unfolding, the strengths of the Gaudreau family have been quite remarkable and a beacon in a time of overwhelming adversity. They will stay in the hearts of so many different communities he managed to touch in his career, and everyone wishes for the family to somehow survive and thrive despite such devastating circumstances.
