While the media's more than happy to obsess over Toronto and Montreal, it's the Jets, Oilers, Flames, and Canucks who have the real underdog mentality, and that's why I'm hitching a ride with them.

They don't always get the spotlight, but they've got the heart, the heritage, and some of the most dedicated fans in the game.

Because out here, hockey isn't just hype, it's about the hometown pride and fighting for your shot in a league that never gives you credit.
