The New York Rangers' head coach Gerard Gallant was furious late in the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning and he punched his own player, Ryan Reaves, while trying to snatch a paper from an official.
Gallant, a seasoned veteran of the game, accidentally clipped Reaves while trying to snatch a paper out of the officials hands. Reaves, also a veteran to the sport, is in his first season with the New York Rangers being brought in as a locker room leader and potential mentor to top young players Kaapo Kakko and Alexis Lafreniere.

Thankfully for the Rangers, they ultimately won the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 and Gallant was able to pull out a victory for the original six franchise.
