Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand might have played his final game of the season after Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett caught Brad Marchand up high with a potentially season-ending hit.

It appears that Brad Marchand is in concussion protocol, according to Rich Keefe of the RichKeefeShow and the Dork Podcast. If it isn't season-ending, it is at least serious enough to keep Marchand out for games four and five.
If the Bruins lose their captain to this, it is a massive blow to their Stanley Cup Playoff hopes. Additionally, Sam Bennett isn't a stranger when it comes to dirty playoff plays as he injured Matthew Knies of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Marchand is a critical component of the Boston Bruins and if his season is done because of this, an already blood-boiling series will boil over completely.
As Patrick Maroon directed to Matthew Tkachuk, it's best to keep your head on straight and not play dirty.
The NHL didn't do any favours by not handing out any supplemental discipline to Sam Bennett either, especially after they issued a warning to both teams prior to game three.
Bennett will likely become public enemy number one in game four of this series as the Bruins will not take too kindly to their captain being hurt.
