Winnipeg Jets hire head coach and cause a surprise

According to what TSN's Darren Dreger reports, the Winnipeg Jets are close to making the hiring of veteran coach Rick Bowness.
Before being fired, he was the head coach of the Dallas Stars since 2019.
This would be a return for Bowness to Winnipeg, as he was an assistant coach with the original version of the Jets from 1984 to 1987.
