In late February, Linus Ullmark, the goaltender for the Boston Bruins, made history by becoming the first Bruins net minder to score a goal and the first in the NHL since Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators did so in early 2020. And now, we have another impressive goalie goal to add to the list.
Pyotr Kochetkov, a promising young Russian goalie who has his sights set on a long NHL career, accomplished the rare feat tonight at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Moose.
Kochetkov has already showcased his skills at the big league level with the Carolina Hurricanes this season before being sent back to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
