Washington Capitals Star Set to Have Facial Reconstruction Surgery
It was one of the scariest scenes of the year when John Carlson took a puck to face and proceeded to bleed all over the ice.
Now, almost a month later, the injury update we've been dreading has arrived:
The writer wrote that the Capitals are ''hoping'' to have Carlson back with the team before the playoffs start, which is in April, four months away. On a positive note Nicklas Backstrom and enforcer Tom Wilson are ready to return, and it'll be official once John Carlson has been played on IR. It appears as if Carlson will require facial-reconstruction surgery.
- El Bashir, The Athletic Facial reconstruction surgery is a big deal, and it will sideline Carlson for months. Hopefully he will be back come playoff time, and hopefully his team will be able to make it there without him.
