We know that Carey Price was very close with former GM Marc Bergevin, which was a father/son type bond it seemed, but now that Kent Hughes is the new sheriff in town the question is how will this relationship work?
Kent Hughes in an interview with Mitch Melnik said, "he has yet to have a conversation with Carey Price, or about Carey Price but plans on having a meeting with Carey soon".
Of course with Carey Price having a no trade clause in his contract that pays him $10.5 million dollars annually until the end of the 2025-26 season the ball is in Carey Price's court.
However Carey Price is 34 years old, so he's only got so much time left in his Hall of Fame career.
Price is going to have decide if he's wants to stay in Montreal with a possible rebuild coming, or take a gamble on a trade and try to win that one Trophy that's alluded him so far in his career, the Stanley Cup.
Price has yet to play for the Canadiens this season but was brilliant last year during the Canadiens magical run to the Stanley Cup Final.
