With the announcement that goaltender Robin Lehner is injured for the next year, the Vegas Golden Knights general manager will have to tack quickly.
However, they will still have $12,857,143 in free payroll room to move.
Columnist Marc-Olivier Beaudoin has made an interesting proposal in the last few hours.
Should Kent Hughes take this opportunity to trade Jake Allen to Nevada?
Allen has a great contract through the end of the 2022-2023 season, worth $2.875 million.
By acquiring the CH goaltender, they could also sign other available free agents, such as Phil Kessel, who could fill the hole left by the departure of Max Pacioretty.
Obviously, all this will depend on the future of Carey Price, who is supposed to have met with his surgeon at the end of July.
File to follow.
