Three New Teams Inquire On Patrick Kane
The Patrick Kane trade market is ought to be absolutely crazy. A piece like Kane is so wildly pivotal, that he could be the difference between a deep playoff run and a first-round exit.
NHL Insider Craig Button has reported that three new teams have expressed interest in acquiring Kane to boost their time.
The first of these teams is the Calgary Flames, who look like an entirely different team than they did last year. Losing Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk made them look like they were bound for failure, but acquiring Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar and Nazem Kadri turned things around. It is insane to imagine Kane in a Flames uniform, but they have all of the assets to make it happen, and the short-term cap flexibility to facilitate a move.
The other two teams to reach out were the Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins. It is hard to imagine Patrick Kane playing alongside Sidney Crosby, although it would definitely be entertaining!
This file will definitely be interesting to follow.
