Many observers and pundits have speculated on who Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton should draught since the Montreal Canadiens have the first overall pick in the upcoming NHL draft.
Shane Wright? Juraj Slafkovsky? Logan Cooley?
Personally, I always thought that the choice of the CH leaders was clear and that it was going to be Wright.
However, according to what was reported today from Otto Hascak, an assistant GM from Slovakia, we now have reason to believe that the choice is not yet made for Kent Hughes.
As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, we've just learned that the Tricolor's top decision-makers have been making serious, behind-the-scenes approaches to Slafkovsky.
In particular, the Canadiens' executives would have met with the Slovak team's staff to discuss the famous Juraj Slafkovsky.
Slafkovsky would be seriously considered to be THE choice of the Montreal Canadiens, that is to say the first one in total.
It's nice to see Hughes and Gorton doing their homework and you have to take this with a grain of salt, but Hascak seems convincing and convincing. We have an interesting clue here from a well-placed source.
Stay tuned!
Would you be disappointed if the CH drafted Juraj Slafkovsky?
