The Oilers Could Pull a Blockbuster Trade to Fill the Role of Evander Kane
Evander Kane's gruesome injury will keep him off the ice for the next few months.
This has led the Oilers to need a solution quickly. They have many bottom-six forwards, but none who can keep up on Connor McDavid's wing.
The St-Louis Blues are off to a terrible start this season. It appears playoff hopes are over for the team. This logically means that some players could be on the block.
One of these players is pending UFA winger Vladimir Tarasenko. When Tarasenko is healthy, he's one of the best snipers in the league, and he could be an amazing complement to McDavid.
The Blues would have to retain some of Tarasenko's $7.5-million cap hit, but there are definitely pieces there for the deal to be made.
It will be interesting to see what Edmonton does in this time of desperation.
