It's no secret racism is still a thing in 2022. A lot of people didn't realize how bad it truly was until the movement against racism began, and celebrities and athletes stood up to help end racism.
In the NHL, we have heard many despicable stories from NHL stars Nezem Kadri, Matt Dumba, Evander Kane, Wayne Simmonds and Pk Subban, just to name a few, who have dealt with racism in our sport from fans and social media.
The Hockey Diversity Alliance or H.D.A Will be using racist graphic slurs on their sticks to confront the problem head on, in hopes of making the Worlds greatest sport even better, like it was meant to be.
