The Habs' first overall pick, Juraj Slafkovsky, has completed the two-game suspension he received for Tuesday's dirty hit on Matt Luff of the Detroit Red Wings.
While being interviewed about his actions, the Slovakian revealed a piece of information that proves the 18-year-old's maturity.
"Juraj Slafkovsky says he was watching the puck more on the hit that got him suspended; he said he contacted Matt Luff afterwards (to apologize) and Luff texted him back to thank Slaf for apologizing." - reported by Priyanta Emrith
The NHL also played a very bad trick on him and his family, as the suspension prevented his mother, who had travelled to Montreal for the occasion, from seeing her son play last Saturday. The CH number 20 also confided that his mother will finally stay longer in town because of this.
"Juraj Slafkovsky's family was in town this weekend, but obviously didn't see him play while he served his suspension; Slaf says his mum is finally staying longer (in town) so he's hoping he'll be in the lineup tomorrow." - reported by Priyanta Emrith
Let's hope for Slaf's sake that he can get back into the lineup tomorrow against the New Jersey Devils, so he can play in front of his mum at the Bell Centre.
