The Washington Capitals have updated their injured captain, who may be out for a while.

The Capitals announced Monday morning that Ovechkin is day to day due to an upper body injury suffered against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night.
The Capitals have three games left in the regular season, against the Islanders on Tuesday, the Rangers on Thursday, and the Rangers on Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if the team decided to rest Ovechkin before the playoffs if he's injured.
