With Shea Weber possibly out for the entire next campaign, the Tricolore could end up with an extra $7.8 million to add one or more players.

TSN's Frank Sevaralli believes the money could be used to acquire Jack Eichel.

This statement is sure to get people talking, as Eichel is a highly coveted player. His relationship with the Sabres has deteriorated and the general manager is certainly listening to offers for him.

Several teams are interested in his services and will surely make an offer. With the expansion draft fast approaching, it would not be surprising if the file evolves.

Remember that the forward will earn $10 million per season for the next five seasons and that he has a no-trade clause that will be activated in one year.
