Team USA Gets Punished By the Strict IIHF Rules As a Player Gets Ejected

When player Kenny Connors threw a hit against the boards, he was promptly ejected from the game. It is a difficult hit to analyze, but most would agree that it would probably be a minor penalty in the NHL, or at worst a five-minute major. Instead Connors was sent to the locker room.
