The Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to terms on a one-season contract extension with defenceman Philippe Myers.
The deal will pay him $1.4 million starting in the 2023-2024 season. He has one year remaining on his $2.55 million contract.
Acquired in the deal that sent Ryan McDonagh to Nashville, Myers recorded four points in 27 games last season with the Predators.
Why extend a player who played 16 games with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL last season so quickly?
Rather peculiar.
