On the ice, Sean Avery was a controversial figure throughout his career, and off the ice, recent allegations have shown that unfortunately his behaviour is just as bad.

In recent times following their divorce, Avery's ex-wife Hilary Rhoda has detailed the disgusting behaviour he's shown in recent times, according to an official report by Entertainment Tonight Canada.
The allegations include not only dreadful behaviour towards herself, but also their young son Nash.
Aggressive Behaviour
Not only has Rhoda filed for divorce, but she has had to file a restraining order against Avery, with the following comment showing just how bad his behaviour has gotten.
Sean has screamed at Nash,» she alleged. «Sean has purposefully endangered Nash by not putting him in his car seat properly; driving erratically; putting Nash in the front seat (without a car seat); smoking marijuana and then immediately driving with him; leaving his marijuana and cigarettes on the ground for Nash to access.
Avery has yet to comment on the allegations, but if it is true, it is absolutely despicable from the former NHLer.
