Lately, Alexis Lafreniere has been linked to several trade rumours. We see that there is some friction with his coach Gerard Gallant. He was even left out of a game.
According to tipster Rick Dhaliwal of The Athletic, the Vancouver Canucks are reportedly interested in Lafreniere.
Even if the Rangers weren't actively trying to trade Lafreniere, the Canucks have reportedly expressed interest in them.
Keep in mind that Emilie Castonguay is now an assistant general manager with the Canucks. She is also the former agent of the Rangers player, which could push the team to welcome the Quebec player.
Since the beginning of the season, Lafreniere has collected 17 points, including five goals in 38 games.
