Ron Hextall Sends a Trade Threat to All Players Who Don't Follow a Certain Rule
Ron Hextall has been with the Penguins for just about two years now. While it isn't necessarily his fault, as his core is aging, the Penguins are a far inferior team right now than they were when he took over.
It appears Hextall is willing to shake things up, especially if some players don't adhere to one particular rule he's set.
It is easy in times of struggle to point fingers. A lot of the blame has gone towards head coach Mike Sullivan, who seems to have lost his spark with the players.
After commenting about the need for consistency from his players, Hextall made a bold statement. Hextall is all-in with Mike Sullivan, and any player who doesn't completely buy-in to Sully's system will subsequently be on the block.
If there are any players not responding to him, I'd look to move those players.
These are big words by the GM, who will need to get creative to keep his teams' playoff hopes alive.
