According to multiple online reports, the Boston Bruins have signed unrestricted free agent goaltender Linus Ullmark to a four year contract worth $5 million per season.
Check it out:
And if you think Ullmark will be a backup to Tuukka Rask, think again. With that kind of commitment to Ullmark, it's safe to assume Rask's time with the Bruins is over. A free agent, Rask is likely looking for a deal that pays him more than the Bruins are willing to offer.
Rask just had hip surgery and is expected to be out until February. It's possible he signs a deal with the Bruins to play a few games later in the season, but I believe the Tuukka Rask Era has ended in Boston. Fans, what say you?
