We all remember Taylor Hall signing as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres this past summer, agreeing to a one-year, $8 million deal. The man was definitely pursuing money, intending to do well this year and earn more the following year, wherever that might be. The Sabres, on the other hand, had a dismal season and were a huge seller at the trade deadline, thus Hall was traded to the Boston Bruins, where he had immediate success.
While he is insistent about wanting to return to Boston, he has stated that his objectives as a free agent have changed this time around, claiming that he will favour club fit over money when he enters unrestricted free agency for the second year in a row this summer.
«I don't even know what my worth is right now, honestly. I'm not worried about my contract right now, it's something we'll figure out in the summer. I have much bigger things to worry about as a player, as a teammate.»
