In the Western Hockey League (WHL), an unusual deal was made between the Kamloops Blazers and the Everett Silvertips.
Clearly, Kamloops has one goal this year: to win the Memorial Cup.
Here is the trade:
To Everett:
Drew Englot, Kaden Hammel, Rylan Pearce, Jack Barker and 10 draft picks
To Kamloops:
Olen Zellweger and Ryan Hofer
For the next four years, let's just say Kamloops won't be drafting many players. Ouch!
