Oilers Media Don't Hold Back in Critiquing Connor McDavid's Negligible Leadership
Connor McDavid is the best player in the NHL. It's hard to argue with that, as he continues to be on pace for a historic season.
However, his team, the Edmonton Oilers, are struggling immensely.
They're out of a playoff spot, and they very clearly aren't giving 100% out there.
Now, reporters are beginning to turn on captain McDavid, as he fails to lead his team into what should be an easily obtainable goal of the playoffs.
If McDavid truly wants to be ranked among the greats, such as Wayne Gretzky and Marc Messier, it will take more than an individual effort.
Things must turn around soon, or else the Oilers may be on the outside looking in come the post-season.
