There is a chance he signs with his hometown Ottawa Senators, a young team that is making strides. Maybe he wants to be a part of their climb and be close to his family and friends?
His season ended when the Panthers were swept by the Lightning in the second round of the playoffs.
Giroux did not perform in that series, neither did the whole Panthers team.
