According to bookers in Vegas and the Detroit Free Press, Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman is reportedly hiring a hockey legend and former teammate behind the bench.
Sergei Fedorov had a stellar NHL career, scoring 1179 points in 1248 points.
In his most recent season, Fedorov was the head coach of CSKA Moscow in the KHL. His team maintained a 29-13-5 record.
With the addition of legendary defenceman Nicklas Lidstrom to the team's entourage last season as vice-president of hockey operations, it appears that Yzerman wants to bring his former teammates back to the team, close to him.
To be continued.
