Montreal Canadiens offer an ULTIMATUM to Carey Price
During the last game of the season, many people questioned if Carey Price had played his final game for the team.
Many people assumed that his subsequent acts, such as waving to his wife Angela and children, meant that his career was coming to an end. There may not be a better time to move on than now, with the Habs in the midst of a rebuild and the first overall pick in their control.
During the World Hockey Championships in Finland, Hughes was asked about Carey Price's status and whether he will return next season, retire, or be dealt.
Ultimately, in Carey's situation, he has to make the right decision for him. Obviously, that decision will have a big impact on us in one way or another. We're able to empathize with him and obviously there's a timeline that's in place for him to get better and to get back to being a full-time goalie. But, there is a timeline for us as well. We hope they match up, but, at the end of the day, we have to respect the fact that he has to do things the way he has to do them in order to get back to full time.
