Yesterday, with the injury to goaltender Ilya Samsonov, the Maple Leafs signed goaltender Keith Petruzzelli to a National Hockey League contract, as reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Petruzzelli, 23, signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Marlies this summer.

He is off to a great start this season with a 6-0-0 record, a 2.31 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage.

More details to follow.
