Midway Rising Development a Potential Location for NHL Team?
California isn't a long shot for another NHL team, as teams in the state have seen attendance head in the right direction. Additionally, continuing to spread the game to the West Coast helps raise awareness of the NHL in unexpected markets.
The variable in the equation is whether or not the development in San Diego would be completed on a similar timeline that the NHL would like to add another team. Developments like this can take many years to complete and can end up looking significantly different from their original proposals.
